About us

We believe learning Spanish is more than just words—it’s an experience that connects children to a rich culture of history, art, music, and traditions. Our approach fosters curiosity and engagement through structured lessons in geography, music, art, and gastronomy.

We go beyond traditional language classes, offering immersive programs in Spain and Latin America during the summer for families who want to learn while exploring new cultures.

Our goal is to inspire confidence in Spanish, encourage cultural appreciation, and spark a love for travel and discovery. Every class is an adventure!

Over 40 Years of Teaching

Our Mission

At Hablemos, our mission is to provide children with a meaningful and interactive Spanish learning experience. We do not offer virtual lessons because we believe in the value of direct interaction and minimizing screen exposure. Instead, we create an engaging environment where children develop a genuine interest in the Spanish language through history, geography, culture, art, and gastronomy. Our structured program allows children to learn through repetition  for Additionally, we aim to spark children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring Spanish-speaking countries, broadening their worldview and cultural appreciation.

About US

Our Vision

We aspire to be a leading Spanish language school for children, offering a comprehensive educational approach that integrates language learning with real-world experiences. Our vision is to create a space where children don’t just study Spanish but live it—through immersive activities such as painting, music, letter exchanges with children from other countries, and community service initiatives. By fostering curiosity about Spanish-speaking cultures and inspiring a love for travel and exploration, we aim to equip children with strong language skills, cultural awareness, and a deep appreciation for global connections.

Larry, the Parrot is the beloved mascot of our language school. Originally from the jungles of Central and South America, Larry arrived in Austin in early 2025 to study abroad. After falling in love with the city, we adopted him from an animal shelter in March, and he’s now part of our school family. Though he’s still learning English, Larry loves teaching Spanish to children. An avid traveler, Larry spends his summers in Spain, exploring the culture and learning new expressions, which makes him an even more fascinating teacher with plenty of stories to share!
